Unit 3 Online & Offline Presentation
Presentation skill involves harnessing verbal language for the purpose of persuading the audience while delivering a presentation. Non-verbal persuasive skill, on the other hand, involves the appropriate use of body movement (posture/gesture/facial expression) and voice (tone/speed/inflection) to enhance the overall persuasiveness of a presentation.
You have probably had the experience of listening to a speaker whose tone of speech or slow delivery leaves you unengaged. That speaker may have some valid arguments but you're unlikely to notice. A lack of non-verbal skill during delivery can completely undermine your well-constructed verbal argument. The videos in this unit demonstrate how verbal and non-verbal skills can work in concert to give your presentations greater impact.
